If you need a CPR or BLS card for work, school, or peace of mind, the first question is usually the same: what does it cost? Here are the current prices for American Heart Association (AHA) classes at ABC Health & Safety Training in Vacaville, and what you actually get for your money.
Current CPR and BLS class prices in Vacaville
- Basic CPR AED: $60
- Basic First Aid: $60
- BLS for Healthcare Providers (initial and renewal): $65
- Basic CPR AED & First Aid combo: $90
- Pediatric CPR AED First Aid: $99.99
- HeartCode BLS hands-on skills session: $55 (for students completing the AHA online course)
What does the price include?
Every class is taught in person by an experienced AHA instructor at the Vacaville Fire Department training facility at 420 Vine St. Your fee covers hands-on practice on professional manikins and AED trainers, skills evaluation, and your official American Heart Association certification, valid for two years. There are no hidden processing fees for your card.
Why are some online CPR certifications so cheap?
You may see websites offering “CPR certification” for $15 or $20, completed entirely online in 20 minutes. Be careful: most employers, healthcare facilities, and licensing boards do not accept online-only cards, because CPR is a physical skill that has to be practiced and evaluated in person. If a card seems too cheap and too easy, it usually is. We wrote more about this in our post on CPR certification scams if you want the full story.
Can my employer reimburse the cost?
Very often, yes. Healthcare employers commonly reimburse BLS certification as a condition of employment, and many childcare centers, gyms, dental offices, and construction companies cover CPR and First Aid training for staff. Keep your receipt from checkout; if your whole team needs cards, ask us about group training, which is usually the most economical option per person.
How do I book?
Classes run on alternating Saturdays with weekday evening options for our CPR and BLS courses, and most students book only a week or two ahead. Pick your date and reserve your seat online in about two minutes.
Do I need to buy anything besides the class?
For our basic CPR, First Aid, and Pediatric classes: no, just yourself. BLS students are expected to have access to the current AHA BLS Provider Manual; if you do not already have one through work or school, the official eBook is available for $16.80 at checkout. We accept all major cards and PayPal online.
Frequently asked questions about CPR class pricing
Does the price include my certification card?
Yes. Your official American Heart Association certification is included in the class fee, with no separate card or processing charge.
How far in advance should I book?
Most students book one to two weeks ahead. Saturday morning sessions are the most popular and occasionally fill, so if your employer has given you a deadline, do not wait for the last weekend before it.
Is there a discount for certifying several people?
If you are certifying a team, group training is usually the most economical route, and we can run it at your workplace or at our Vacaville facility. Call (707) 592-9749 for a group quote.
